Membership

The essential element of organization.

For more than 50 years, Urban Land Institute has been widely recognized as America's preeminent voice for encouraging and fostering high standards of land use planning and real estate development.  Membership in the ULI makes a personal statement of support and belief in these principles. ULI has more than 40 district councils in the United States. Organized by region, these membership groups are ULI at the local level, bringing together the public and private sectors.


MEMBERS

When you join ULI, you receive access to its Downloads and publications, including a subscription to ULI’s monthly magazine Urban Land, which focuses on real estate development experience and the latest research in easy-to-read features and news briefs; the annual forecast or trends research report; ULI’s online member directory; personal assistance from ULI’s expert staff; and an opportunity to participate in your local District Council.

FULL MEMBERS
Full Membership is available for those willing to make an ongoing commitment to the Institute, contributing their experience, insights, and financial support.

Such membership is limited to 2,400 private sector individuals in the United States, two-thirds of whom are owners, developers, and corporate real estate executives.

The balance includes principals from professional service firms and financial institutions. No limits apply to public sector and academic members.

STUDENTS
The need for university-based real estate education motivated ULI’s founders to create the Institute. Today, ULI assists startup programs, commissions texts, and provides a forum for instructors worldwide. The fee is $90 per year. This membership category is open to all full-time graduate and undergraduate students. Students must provide proof of full-time status with the membership application. Student Members receive all of the benefits of ULI Membership, but do not receive access to the online membership directory. For information on special programs, go to www.uli.org
